Our Beginning
Praxis Solutions was founded in January 2022 as a response to the obvious need within the Child Protection sector for quality trauma-informed care and placement options. While there is an increasing focus on primary intervention for young people and families, one of the complicating factors of this focus is the growing complexity of needs among families, children, and young people requiring support. The increasing needs have placed additional stress on families, foster carers, and residential providers, leading to an increased number of placement breakdowns across Queensland.
Our Philosophy
Praxis’s philosophy is that our team are key to supporting the people we work with to make life-long, sustainable changes. We offer a suite of services for children and young people with a clear focus on quality outcomes. Praxis Solutions works within the young person’s current context, be that at home with family, with a foster or kinship carer, through provision of outreach support whilst they have no stable placement, or in residential care.

Whilst our inception was due to the needs identified in Child protection, our natural evolution was to provide Disability support services. We have extensive knowledge and experience within the Child Protection Sector and specialise in supporting individuals with complex diagnoses and support needs within multi-disciplinary teams. Our Goal is to Ensure that people with Disabilities have the opportunity to take part in their communities.
