RESIDENTIAL CARE
Praxis has current established residential programs across Queensland and is also able to provide full-time placements for any young person in need. When there is a specific need for a young person to be placed, Praxis Solutions will always consider what options they have available to provide a placement to a young person.
Praxis also support current residential placements with the intention of ensuring that where possible the current placement is sustained to provide consistency of care, reinforce positive attachments and work towards better long-term outcomes
Outreach Support
A significant number of young people need additional support but do not require full-time placement. These individuals might still be at home, in transient situations, or without viable placement options. Providing them with a point of contact, access to essential resources, and regular check-ins is crucial for their safety and well-being. Outreach support can be customized, ranging from regular, long-term plans to one-off interactions, and is especially beneficial for those who are transient or self-placing. When a placement is needed, Praxis Solutions can facilitate this through various programs or emergency accommodations.
Respite and Placement Support
Caring for complex young people can be challenging, and placements often need support to prevent breakdowns, which can lead to behavioral regressions in the young person. Praxis Solutions offers additional assistance to help sustain placements, whether with carers, families, or residential providers. A support or respite plan is developed in collaboration with Child Safety, involving the carer, family, and young person when appropriate.
